All families and single adults are invited and welcome to register in our Parish Office in person or by telephone. Registration provides information to help plan activities and accurately assess future growth and needs. Registration also helps in the maintenance of Sacramental records for you and your family. If you move to another parish or have a new address and/or phone number, please notify the Parish Office.
Special Masses and BlessingsHouse Blessing Have you moved to the area and desire to have your home or apartment blessed? Contact the church office. Father is always happy to do a blessing in exchange for a meal. Mass for Healing There is a Mass for Healing twice yearly in January and September for those who wish to ask God for healing. Sunday Children’s Liturgy of the Word All children four years old through the first grade may participate in the children’s Liturgy of the Word during Sunday morning Masses during the school year. Children are led out to Dunn Hall after the Opening Prayer and return after the Prayer of the Faithful. Registration is not required. Graduation Mass A special Mass is offered for the all members of St. Cornelius who will be graduating high school during the first weekend of June. Blessing of Boy Scouts A special blessing is given to Scouts at the Sunday Mass nearest the anniversary of the founding of the Boy Scouts on Feb. 8. See the bulletin at that time for details. Other Rites and blessings: Blessing of the First Foods of Easter (Holy Saturday) Blessing of Pets (nearest Feast of St. Francis of Assisi in the fall) Blessing of Candles (Feb. 2) Blessing of Throats (Sunday closest to Feb. 3) National Day of Prayer (First Thursday of May) Blessing of Bread (Thanksgiving Day)
Other Important InformationBringing Up Offertory Gifts Bringing up gifts is a meaningful way to participate in Mass. A schedule is posted on the bulletin board by the double doors in Dunn Hall for you to sign up on any blank line. Note: The deadline for articles for the parish bulletin is the prior Monday at noon.
